Whitehorse Inn Study
March 24
The Whitehorse Inn Group (WIG), a Christian study group at MPC, has met over the past 11 years to explore topics in religion, philosophy and history. On March 24, the WIG will begin a new study: Existentialism: The No-Excuses Philosophy. Christians from Kierkegaard to Barth, as well as atheists from Nietzsche to Sartre, have been labeled “Existentialists”. What does it mean to be an Existentialist? How can the doctrines of Existentialism be applied to a life with Christ? We will review and discuss 24 taped lectures, one every other week, so the study will take about a year. The WIG meets Sunday evenings at 7PM in the northwest room of the Discipleship center. All interested persons are welcome and encouraged to join us! Tuesday Evening - Women’s Bible Study
Beginning Tuesday January 10, 2011 women will meet from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to study Philippians. We will be using the Serendipity Bible for personal and small group Study. The purchase of a new Bible not necessary because we have permission to copy the questions. All adult women are welcome. We study and provide prayer support for one another.

Thursday Morning Women’s Bible Studies
1. A new women’s Bible study takes place on Thursdays, from 10:00 a.m. - noon, in the Discipleship Center. Led by Mimi Gates and Deborah McKenna, the group will study, “Esther: Character Under Pressure”, study guide by Patty Pell. A Korean language section of this class will be held in the East Room, 10:00 a.m. - noon on Fridays, beginning Friday, January 6. All women are welcome and encouraged to attend. 2. Continuation of the study of the Book of John, led by Linda Lee, takes place from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in the East Room each Thursday morning. This second part of the study focuses on events leading up to the Passion of the Christ, making this Winter and Spring study well-timed for Lent and Easter.
